Located at the heart of the beautiful Eastern Townships region in the province of Quebec, Canada, we develop our technology in the vibrant quantum ecosystem of Sherbrooke. Leaning on more than a decade of vertical integration of quantum hardware, we are leveraging a comprehensive pool of quantum technology and micro-electronic infrastructure to deploy our quantum computing technology.
Our current needs
We are scaling our activities alongside our quantum processors. In this effort, we want to expand our fabrication team by recruiting an exceptional individual with a strong nanofabrication record. This person will play a key role in the Nanofabrication team, with two main objectives: (1) delivering mission-critical devices to the hardware team regularly for measurement. (2) developing, optimizing, and benchmarking new fabrication processes to improve the performance of superconducting circuit-based devices.
We are looking for a candidate with expertise in key strategic areas related to the fabrication of superconducting circuit-based devices such as: E-beam lithography, reactive ion etching and metal deposition. Additionally, this individual needs to be highly organized and have the ability to manage their own time and successfully prioritize to ensure the success of their projects while working as part of a team.
Sought expertise:
- 4+ years experience working in micro and nanofabrication facilities
- Proven experience in delivering devices within a small team
- Experienced with some of the following cleanroom techniques: E-beam lithography, Metal deposition, Etching, Reactive Ion Etching. Wet chemistry Processing (Acid & Bases)
- Extensive experience in understanding and solving nanofabrication problems
- Experience using some of the following in-line characterization techniques: SEM, AFM, EDX, profilometry, ellipsometry and room temperature electrical measurements
Preferred expertise:
- 6+ years experience working in micro and nanofabrication facilities
- Experience working with superconducting or ESD-sensitive circuits (knowledge of Josephson junctions/Transmons would be ideal).
- Understanding of design concepts and workflow for superconducting circuits

In this effort we are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong track record of experimental work in the field of quantum computing with superconducting circuits. This person will assist our team in the development and scaling up of our technology.
More specifically, this individual will lead experimental campaigns to push our hardware capabilities and continuously deepen our understanding of the science behind it. The person will develop new methods and hardware through a strong interaction with our theory, design and experimental teams.
Sought expertise
- PhD experience in working in experimental physics with superconducting circuits
- Proven experience in leading experimental campaigns and sub-teams
- Proven ability to design, characterize and push the performances of superconducting circuits
- Deep knowledge of experimental techniques related to the characterization of superconducting circuits including qubit spectroscopy and state-of-the-art time-domain techniques
- Good understanding of the theoretical concepts behind superconducting circuits

Our current needs
We are implementing in-house software tools to enable the next step in our quantum hardware roadmap development, allowing quantum algorithms to be compiled down to a language our hardware can understand. In this effort, we are looking for a talented individual to contribute to the development of the building blocks of our software. This person will need to be efficient and rigorous in their coding ability, and able to create performant and robust features across different layers of our software stack. In collaboration with other members of our Software team, they will contribute to scale our software infrastructure alongside our increasingly complex hardware systems.
We are looking for an outstanding individual eager to implement software solutions in the highly dynamic and interdisciplinary environment of a quantum hardware startup. The person will need to rely on their strong communication skills to engage with colleagues to pinpoint their needs and ensure software tools are used to their full potential.
Sought expertise
- BSc or MSc or equivalent industry experience (2+ years) in a relevant field including computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or physics
- Strong coding experience in Python
- Experience with a low-level programming language
- Experience with coding best practices (version control, unit testing, etc.)
- Experience with working in a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results within deadlines
- Strong communication and organizational skills; excellent ability to manage a coding project
Preferred experience
- Experience with any of the following is an asset: cloud development, database management, security operations, communication protocols (PCIe, serial, USB...)
- Experience with scientific programming is an asset
- Experience with working in a scientific or R&D environment is an asset, especially in a quantum-adjacent company
